GZIP encoding in Search and Promote rersponses

Avatar

Hi,

Is gzip'ing supported by s&p at all?

If yes, how it could be enabled?

Some details.

There is an "Accept-Encoding" header among request headers:

Accept-Encoding:gzip, deflate, sdch

And we get a response in JSON format, sending a format=json in request parameters string.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

Yes this can be done but note that it is only effective for really large responses.

This would be a consulting engagement to set this up & test it.

Thanks!

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to Adobe Community.

Yes it supports the capability to download and extract information from the following archive, compressed, and uncompressed file types: .zip/tar/tar.gz/tar.bz2/gzip/bzip2.

For more info see the Getting Started:

Thanks!

Hi Shekhar,

Thank you for the fast response and the link provided.

I think we are talking about different things. I've found the line you mentioned here: https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/whatsnew/07182013.htmlBut seems it is another topic.

I'd like to know if it's possible to force S&P reply on search requests with gzip'ed response in order to reduce data transfer? Such responses are expected to have following http response header:

Content-Encoding:gzip

Thanks.
