There should be zero warnings when you open the page in Internet Explorer.

To achieve this DNS name of the server must match the certificate, and the certificate must (be in / be signed by one of the certificates in) the Windows trusted root certification authority store. You should use the DNS name in Acrobat and Internet explorer when testing.

When you can open the page at
https://<serverDNSname>:8443/edc/ with absolutely no warnings in IE (as in, it goes straight to the page, and the address bar is not red) then you should be good to go.

If you are going to use this in production over the internet then you should to change the port to 443, or make sure there is a port mapping from the standard SSL port to the port you choose on the server.
