Rights Management (policy server) over SSL --Problem connecting using Acrobat 8

I have the policy server working and can connect to it using Acrobat 7 without any problems, everything works fine that way.

I setup SSL in JBOSS and are able to access the Rights Management Admin UI at (https://localhost:8443/edc/). However, when I try to access the policy server using Acrobat 8, the following error comes up:

"Unable to connect to the service at: https://
:8443"<br /><br />Is there anything else I am supposed to do? (Just-in-case the port 8443 is open at the firewall)<br /><br />Thanks for any help you can provide.

There should be zero warnings when you open the page in Internet Explorer.<br /><br />To achieve this DNS name of the server must match the certificate, and the certificate must (be in / be signed by one of the certificates in) the Windows trusted root certification authority store. You should use the DNS name in Acrobat and Internet explorer when testing.<br /><br />When you can open the page at https://<serverDNSname>:8443/edc/ with absolutely no warnings in IE (as in, it goes straight to the page, and the address bar is not red) then you should be good to go.<br /><br />If you are going to use this in production over the internet then you should to change the port to 443, or make sure there is a port mapping from the standard SSL port to the port you choose on the server. You'll save yourself alot of hassle later on.
