Radio button style

I have a form with a 3 way radio button New/Change/Delete, in designer I set the style to CHECK and default to 1 and I can see see a check mark, but when I run it thru Acrobat profesional 7.0.7 or thru Preview PDF it comes out as a CROSS. No matter what I change the style to it always comes out as a cross.

Any ideas??

I think that the version of Acrobat did not support the checkmark. I try it on my version 8 and it works fine.
