Paper forms barcode does not work in reader 9

I have a editable form where form data is written to a paper forms barcode (PDF 417) before printing. The form was designed in Arcobat LiveCycle Designer 8 that shipped with Acrobat Professional 8.0. The paper forms barcode prints correctly in Acrobat 8 Professional, Acrobat Reader 8.1.2 and Acrobat 9 Extended. However, when printed in Acrobat Reader 9.0.0 it just prints a grey bar. Anybody have similar experiences? The barcode is populated by a custom script triggered in a page.preprint method.
