I have a form with certain fields ( Name, Employee #, things like that)that I want to fill using an excel data base. I was using Word to create the document and then merged it using excel. Now I have created the form in designer to be opened with acrobat reader, but I need someone to help me out. How do I create a field and then populate the field using date created on an excel spreadsheet.

Hi Will,

To create the form.

1. In Designer 8.0, select File > New.

2. In the New Form Assistant, select Based on a Spreadsheet.

3. Follow the instructions to create your form.

For more information about populating your form, see FormBuilder's blog at

I do not think that is what will pion was looking for.

He wants to take data on an excel spread sheet and have it populate an already created form, and is wondering how to do so.

I am also wondering? Please advise.

You can make your own "transfer" program in vb or vba.

Vba can be included in Excel.
