How to Replace Commas in numeric field

Hi,



I have a numeric field,in that the users will be entering the $ amounts like

"23,345.00" and I'm using those entered numbers to do some calculations, But the numberic doesn't allow the commas!! How do I replace those commas entered and take the numbers to do calculations?
