How to copy text from textbox from previous line using addInstance?

I downloaded and purchased Adobe LiveCycle designer because of the demo that I viewed online at www.adobe.com. The demo showed that you could add new lines of data (addInstance) and in that demo it showed that it was coping all the data from the previous line. I have tried and tried to figure this out and am unable to. Does anyone know how to do this? I have a button that when I click on it, it adds a new line of text fields under the original and I just want to pull the values from the original or previous line of text boxes into my current set of text boxes.

It's kind of hard to explain in english, so here's a sample. You can see the script that creates the new instance and then copies the data over in the click event of the button.
