Dropdown Lists - editing function

I am new to Adobe Live Cycle Designer but have been tasked with learning it quickly and transforming a PDF document into a form with editable fields for users of the document.



First: How do you put a PDF into Edit mode?



Second: How do I open up the Tools view so I can see all my drag & drop tools in the Editor?



Third: I've seen the previous person drag the drop down list control onto the document but when they tried to double-click on it to edit the list nothing happened. So how do "I" edit a drop-down list with data?



Any help is much appreciated as I am a total newbie with this program.
