Different views for actors in a workflow

Hi,

If a Workflow has (for instance) 8 actors and all of them have different views of the same form. The fields also have different properties like mandatory etc. Then,

There are 2 ways in which we can go about doing this:

1. Use 1 form and use javascript to hide and show fields based on the user who is going to view the form. All the other properties can be set based on the actor.

2. Use multiple xdp forms and show the particular form for the actor. In this case 8 actors will have 8 templates. Use the same form variable but change the template URL for the actors.

I have used both the possibilities in my projects, but i would like to get feedback from all of you about which would be better.

It is sometimes hard to make changes in all templates at a stretch or sometimes hard to manage a huge piece of javascript code with a single form.

Awaiting a discussion to find out the most efficient way.

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Srinath
