Designer 8.0 - Limit Length not working?

Just purchased Professional 8.0 - AND LOVE IT!!! I use Designer everyday and so thrilled to see all the great new and VERY NEEDED features implemented. One particular feature that was anticipated, is the "Limit Length to Visible Area", in a Text Field's Object/Field tab. However, once the form is done and saved (even in PDF preview), my text continues running on (that little black cross shows up in the bottom of the box). It DOES NOT stop at the end of the visible area. What gives? How can I make this work?

Hi Gretchen,

The feature works for me. Maybe it has something to do with your field. Can you copy and paste the offending field here (the XML for the field should "paste" in the message)? Thanks.

Was a fix found for this, I'm having the same issue.

I'm still waiting on a reply - and still having problems. It works when I pull open my form in Professional, but NOT with Reader. Whether the form is enabled or not, doesn't seem to make a difference.

This is a new feature in 8. It doesn't work in Reader because Reader 8 is not out yet.
