Certify vs. Verify QPAC

Hello,

We have the Reader Extensions and have these QPACS. Even after reading the documentation, I a little confused on the difference between the two QPACS. Is it simple a matter that Certify works on one signature field, where as the verify QPAC does the entire PDF?

Also, the certify QPAC Credential Alias field refers to the trust.xml which is used with Policy Server. We don't have Policy Server, so what do I place here?

Thanks,

Jennifer

Well, firstly I believe that to use these QPACs legally you would need to own Security Server, not Reader Extensions.

As to what they do. Verify, validates a signature in a signature field. Certify, certifies a PDF so that if it's certified by a trusted source the script on the form will run with extra security permission allowing it to do things that normally wouldn't be possible.
