What are the differences between all the profile_Snapshot_export_Xyz datasets?

As per the subject, what are the major differences? I see they all have very similar data.

It is related to the the merge policy. Each dataset will have different data based on the merge created in the platform.

1) The process seems to run once a day, is that configurable?

2) How long is the retention of this data, and how do I look for a specific date?

The profile snapshot process will run after the segmentation job complete.  The profile snapshot job is not configurable, but the segmentation job is.
