Number of connections/accounts per connector?

Avatar

Community Advisor

Does anyone know how many parallel connections can be created per connector? Some connectors like SFTP support creating multiple accounts, but is that true for all? I couldn't find any documentation around how many connections/accounts I can setup per connector. Also, I cannot create a connector until I have established one valid connection.

Need this info to know pros & cons for some of the OOB connectors.

I am interested for the following types of connectors (if not all):

- Social - facebook, twitter & linkedin

- Email Marketing - sendgrid, eloqua, adobe campaign

Thanks,

Chetanya

Hello @ChetanyaJain

Since all these are external services but not controlled by Adobe, their guardrails or limitation will not be available in AEP documentation. Because they can be changed by the sources/destinations anytime.

So the best way to check these guardrails would be to look at the API of these platforms.

You can start looking at them here:

Facebook: Customer File Custom Audiences - Marketing API (facebook.com)

Twitter: Audience API Integration | Docs | Twitter Developer Platform

LinkedIn: LinkedIn API Rate Limiting - LinkedIn | Microsoft Learn

SendGrid: Rate Limits | Twilio (sendgrid.com)

Eloqua: Bulk API limits (oracle.com)

Agree i could not find any documentation on guardrails/restrictions, however can confirm the below since we are doing this in production today

  • Social: Across Fb, Google and an Affiliate we have multiple connectors using same oauth connection
  • Email Marketing: Across 2 platform we use, both have more than one connectors.

and yes a connection is prerequsite, once established you add multiple account id's.

Hope that helps.

I am still following up with Adobe through different channels to get a clear answer. Documentation is definitely not clear at the moment. I will post an update once I get them.

Thank you @Manoj_Kumar_ @NimashaJain for your response. I am looking for multiple accounts per connection and not guardrails per connection. I just need confirmation if multiple accounts are supported for all connections or will it vary connection by connection?
