Monitoring - Data Landing Zone - Dataflow

I would be using Data Landing Zone as Source Connector. 

However after every data ingestion I would like to know the status of this particular ingestion. 

I need to use this one - Flow Service API ?

And then in some tool build the workflow in order to check the status every day after ingestion?

You can try both UI and API approaches, but first step is to,

UI Approach:

• Allows you to subscribe to Alerts on failure, delay start etc.,
  • I/O Events + webhook is also an option to monitor activity.

API Approach:

Flow Service APIs could also be used to create the Data Flows to ingest the data. Monitoring on UI and I/O Events to get Flow run notifications is also possible https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-platform/sources/notifications
