Currently in Adobe Launch - we see a blue button when an upgrade is available.  But this does not tell us what is being updating (why do we need to upgrade).  Can we add a version history to all extensions that says what were being changed?  Currently - we are just hitting upgrade and do not know what we need to test to verify it will work on our site.  This should be standard across all Adobe / third party owned extensions to ensure we, the client, know why we should push this change into the system.

@arwith:

While there's no 'official' version history, there are release notes for all Adobe-owned Extensions that indicate what's changed.

The release notes can be found under `Adobe Extensions` here: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-platform/tags/extensions/overview.html?lang=en

Sharing links directly to the release notes for popular Adobe extensions for reference:

  1. Adobe Analytics: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-platform/tags/extensions/adobe/analytics/release-...
  2. Adobe Experience Cloud ID Service: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-platform/tags/extensions/adobe/id-service/release...
  3. Adobe Target v2: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-platform/tags/extensions/adobe/target-v2/release-...

For third-party extensions, it's a different story — I don't believe there's a centralized source to track changes.

The closest option I've found it this: https://github.com/Launch-Developers

Completely in support of your idea to add a 'version history' to all extensions.

Hope this response helps your idea get more traction —
