Will static template be compatiable in AEM 6.5?

I heard that static template is going to be depreciated and it will be no longer available in AEM 6.5 and it will compatible only with editable template. is that true?

Basically I would want to know whether static template will be compatible in AEM 6.5 and also when Adobe is planning to deprecate it ?

Static templates still work. I am not aware of any deprecation.

I would like to ask the question the other way around: Have you seen in the release notes, that this long-standing feature is being deprecated or has been removed? I am not of aware that it is mentioned on the release notes in that way.

No, it is not mentioned in release note. Just wanted to confirm on this static template since AEM is going to depreciate classic UI, maybe starting from AEM 6.5.
