Will AEM 6.2 license work on 6.1 installation?

We are trying to transition ownership of an AEM environment and the new license that has been acquired is for AEM 6.2. The installed environment has "license.product.version=6.1" in the license.properties file. Should we just update the "license.downloadID" field with the new serial number and expect it to work or do we have to setup AEM 6.2 and migrate the sites (highly unfavorable due to time constraints)?

you don't need to change the license file, it will work with 6.2 as well.

This will work.

We have used 6.0 SP3 license for AEM 6.2 when doing the up gradation.

It will work for 6.2.

Do not change anything from License file.
