Hi folks,
I have spent quite a long time searching for a download link to CRX, and have spoken with Adobe sales, to no avail. The last sales rep I spoke with suggested I post the question on this forum.
I was able to download the CRXDE, but not CRX itself. Has it been discontinued? I realize CRX is a component of CQ5 (now Adobe Experience Manager), but I'm really only interested in the CRX itself. According to a few pages on Adobe's site, "To download the CRX Developer Edition, which is free to use for all non-production purposes, visit the CRX Developer download page."
Here are some of the links I have tried:
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Dan.

Both, CRX 2.2 and CRX 2.3, are currently available in the Daycare download center.
This is the exact deep link for crx 2.3: https://daycare.day.com/home/products/CRX/crx-2-3.Par.0019.file.tmp/crx-2.3.0.20120322-enterprise.ja...
In order to download it, you'll need a Daycare account. You will also have to register for a trial license: https://www.day.com/content/day/en/registration/trialprovisioning-signin.html

what are you expecting to download?
CRX Developer Edition a.k.a CRXDE is already something you said you had.

Hi Victor,
Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately, CRXDE doesn't stand for "CRX Developer Edition". Instead, it stands for "CRX Development Environment", and is the Eclipse-based IDE for CRX. When I launch it, it prompts me for the CRX repository to connect to, which I am missing. I am looking for the CRX server components (the actual JCR, based on Apache's Jackrabbit/Sling), either the free developer edition or the full paid edition, but I couldn't find those anywhere.
I also tried using it to connect to existing JCRs (which are JSR-283 compliant), but it didn't work. I suspect it specifically requires it to be a CRX repository, but I'm not certain.

Hi again Victor,
The link looks very promising, but it's not accepting my Adobe credentials (because I haven't paid for it yet). May I ask where you got this link? I'm hoping there is a Developer Edition link, or instructions on how I can register for the paid CRX, etc.
Thanks very much!

I have the same problem finding the download. Both 2.2 and 2.3 seem to be unavailable now. None of the links above get to a trial download page. Maybe the CRX implementation of Jackrabbit is no longer free? I don't know what's going on.

CRX implementation of Jackrabbit was never free as far I know (May be Trail was). Also Daycare link should work as long as you have access to it.
