understanding Target and AEM communication

Let's say I created an activity in Adobe Target.

Targeted specific AEM application url and did a text, image targeting.

Target Cloud configuration done on AEM author, publish instances.

Test and Target Replication agent configuration are done on AEM author.

Question1 : How would the AEM and Adobe Target know which experience to display?

Does AEM pass some params to Target ?

Question2 : Does activities created in Target appear in AEM author instance?

I do not see anything called "brand" in Adobe Target, but in AEM before selecting an activity , there is something called "brand".

Thanks,

Sri

Firstly, let me tell you there can be multiple ways to integrate Adobe Target with AEM

1. Implementing Adobe Target on AEM via DTM or Launch :- Integrating Experience Manager with Adobe Target

2. Using Target engine in AEM :- Creating Personal Experiences using Experience Manager and Adobe Target

Option 1 is more powerful and recommended. With Option 2, now that target classic is decommissioned this implementation required some more hiccups to get things configures with support.

For Option1:

Question1 : How would the AEM and Adobe Target know which experience to display?

->  It is all governed by Adobe target. Based on the mbox selected.

Question2 : Does activities created in Target appear in AEM author instance?

-> In this way, it will not get reflected in AEM. where as using option 2, then activity created in AEM would also get reflected in Target side not vice versa.

This is what I tried so far.

Created couple of target audience in AEM ( chrome-users, safari-users)

Created an activity and stuck on page where I add experience.

What is the experience name I should give here ?

I gave experience name as Chrome Users" and got an error alert saying activity not synced to Target as "Chrome Users" experience does not have any offers.

Any help on this ?
