I am unable to see the JCR properties or nodes for the project in eclipse 

like what we can see in CRXDE

Install aem plugin and then again import your project into eclipse.

Issues got resolved by changing the path 

Change content sync root dir  --  src/main/resources  -> src/main/content

its fixed now
