Teaser Core Component :: Image Quality Issue

Avatar

Level 4

We are using proxy Teaser component for our application, with no customization at all.

Observing issue with the image quality uploaded via Teaser.

The size reduces from around 400KB to just 95 KB , for desktops.

The images look blurred or pixelated at times.

Is there a way to customize the size or quality of the image for Teaser component.

Hi @maheshp ,

If you're using teaser(v2) proxy. It uses an imageDelegate to image(v3). You can adjust quality of the image in the design dialog for teaser.

Same thing for v1 as well. It uses Image(v2) instead of v3.

But changing the JPEG Quality is not making any difference to either Image or even Teaser component image size. Its getting downsized.

You may need to add params with your image src if that's the case. Are you using JPG or PNG.
Go through this documentation, it should help in increasing sharpness & size.

Just noticed that the design dialog option of Image works well for Image v3. However for image V2 it make absolutely no difference.

Tried it on vanilla instance

It would be a product bug. I have not come across this.

As a workaround, You can overlay instead of proxying the component and change the imageDelegate to image(v3) in the teaser.
