SSL in war file deployment

Hi,

I was going through the document for enabling SSL on AEM instance. https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/deploy/configuring/config-ssl.html 

But the steps did not work for war file deployment on tomcat server. I had to configure tomcat to run on 8443 port with SSL.

So, is this article only for AEM standalone installation?
