SocialUtils is depricated under AEM 6.1. What used to instead?

SocialUtils is only marked deprecated as of AEM 6.1.  You can use these methods while paying attention when replacement information is available.  

That information would be made available in release notes, but also likely in the AEM Communities developer section of the documentation, such as http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/develop/communities/scf/srp.html#Method to Access UGC

The docs have still not been updated with a suitable replacement for com.adobe.cq.social.ugcbase.SocialUtils.

Any idea if there is a suitable alternate available? Or should I just continue using the SocialUtils deprecated class & methods?

For 6.1 GM unfortunately using the deprecated SocialUtils is the only option. There will be an upcoming Communities FP4 for 6.1 which will offer the new APIs that will also be in 6.2.
