Hi all,
I'm working on a project where the team are thinking about creating and storing content in one instance of AEM and sharing it with another instance of AEM. I need to understand the pros and cons of this approach. Can someone please share their thoughts on this?
Many thanks

Hi
Please have a look at deployment bnest practice recommended by Adobe:
Link:- https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/deploy/recommended-deploys.html
But, answer to your question is we can certainly do it. One instance can deploy content to many publishing instance, but for this we need to configure replication agent.
Please refer to this community article showing step by step guide:

I hope this would help you.

Hi,
If i get your question correctly, then this is the default behavior of AEM, we used to create and store content in author instance, then replicate this content to multiple publish instance using replication agents.
If you have multiple author instance and want to use only one instance for creating content then that is also possible but it will increase load on single author instance as now it has to replicate content to publish also and other author environments also.
Let me know does if you get your answer or you are trying to point something else.
regards,
Ankur
