Scaffolding dialog editor link missing in design mode

Hi guys,

I am following the document to create scaffolding in version 5.6.1 : http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/wcm/scaffolding.html

But when I reach to this step: "Next, you have to define the structure of the page that this scaffold will create. To do this go into design mode on the scaffold page. A link will appear allowing you to edit the scaffold in the dialog editor."

I can't see the link. you can see the screenshot in attachment.

Is there any way to fix this problem.

Thanks

You are correct here -- my first response with CQ 5.6 and it worked. When I tested on 5.6.1 - I got the same results as you. There is a bug. Please open a ticket here:

The page does not look like its in Design Mode. Look at the sidekick in your illustration. When in design mode - you only see the top of the Side kick as shown here:

When in Design mode - the link appears.

Thanks Scott,

But it is in design mode, I just open the sidekick manually to show that it is in design mode.

I think this is a bug in version 5.6.1.

My friend has version 5.6.0 and he can see the link.

See view source of the page, you will see the link. Just click on the link, now you can see the scaffolding in Design Dialog mode.
