Saving Adobe CC documents to AEM via Asset Link -- is it possible?

Hello! I hope I'm asking this in the right place. Here's what I'm trying to do:

1) Create a new InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop document

2) Save the new, untitled document to AEM

3) At a later date, open the InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop document in AEM

4) Work on the document

5) Save the file in InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop, which overwrites the previous version in AEM

Is this even possible? The more digging I do, the more it seems that I have to have an already-saved InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop document that I then upload to AEM. In order to edit the document, I would need to download it, make changes, and re-upload. Is this the case?

In AEM, when working with InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop documents, the typical workflow involves uploading the document to AEM, downloading it to make changes, and then uploading the updated version. AEM does not provide direct in-browser editing capabilities for these document formats.
