Run mode based folders type

Hey guys, I was reading about run modes and then I came to a part when the article says that the install.runmode folder should be a nt:folder.

And It really got me confuse cause I tought that that should be of type sling:Folder, I am talking about both config and install folders.

If someone could help me, I would love that, thanks, guys.

See this AEM doc that answers this - in the doc - it says to use nt:folder.

Run Modes

So Adobe recommends that you go with what is documented.

Thanks for answering me, but actually my problem is cause some examples use sling:folder at least on the folders that are used for specific run modes, for example on geometrixx and on we retail when the config is used for publish: config.publish the type is sling:folder, on the article they say install folders must be of type nt:folder, so my doubt is if the type of the folder is irrelevant or there is a rule defined to that. Would you guys please review the this part of the run mode or please send me another documentation that makes that more clear?

it doesn't matter if it's a sling:folder or a nt:folder.
