Recommandation for AEM Old Archetype Projects

Avatar

Community Advisor

What is the recommendation from Adobe for the old archetype projects? Since a project has been running for years after years, archetypes and the latest features are coming up with every update.

How should the old projects align with the new archetype? Is there any guideline from Adobe or how this could be managed?

Archetypes are skeletons for any new project so once it is used, you get a project structure based on that and after that it has no relevance to your ongoing regular dev work. At least till now, archetypes are not tracked for their upgradations. You have to create a new project based on new archetype and move the code manually to the new structure.
