Problem tracking a URL in Google Analytics

Avatar

Level 1

I did create a marketing campaign strategy for my client. The marketing page was created in Adobe CQ5 with a tracking link: http://www.example.com/?utm_campaign=spring&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter1&utm_content=topl...

Unfortunately, I cannot see the campaign been tracked in Google analytic.

Can someone please point me in the right direction why the link is not tracked when a user clicks on it?

Thanks in Advance

Seems like you need to use new Google Analytics code snippet refer http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/analytics/2pLVrUbuP1M

Hi,

Thanks a lot for the swift reply, i have followed link you suggested and the website is been tracked in Google Analytic.

In summary, an <a href> link within a CQ5 page with Google Analytic utm_source tracking code to track the clicks on the link.

Unfortunately, other pages on the website are been tracked in Google Analytic but the link with the utm_source is not been tracked by Google.

I look forward to your reply.
