Steps to reproduce=

Download an already existing asset under this path /content/dam/myproject
update its metadata title and author.
go to the same path and reupload the file with the same name.

Expected Behavior=

A pop-up should come stating File Upload Conflicts

2. On Overwriting existing file metadata properties like dc:creator, dam:author, dc:title should get updated with new values.

3. It should be reflected in assets console's metadata properties as well.

Current Behavior=

The "File Upload Conflicts" popup appears inconsistently. sometimes it shows up, and other times it does not.
sometimes it reflects updated metadata properties at both places console and crxde, and other times it does not.

how we can resolve this issue?

Hi @varunkiroriwal

Have you managed to isolate this behavior in a brand new AEM instance, which does not have any of your project stuff yet deployed to it ? I find it strange that AEM might have this issue and no one yet reported it.

I might be totally out on this (as I don't have much context on your issue) but I am thinking of Dynamic Media (if you have it on your project), and more precisely on how DM handles files with same name: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-65/content/assets/dynamic/dm-general-s.... Maybe this is a lead for you to pursue ?

You can try to check the logs for the cases when it doesn't work. It might be the case, that the asset might already be getting processed by some other workflow when you try to perform the actions in which case, it might not be getting processed properly.

I found these 2 errors in logs when metadata properties are not getting updated.
