Migrating users and groups from AEM MS instance to AEMaaCS

Hi,

We are using AEM Managed Service and in the middle of migrating to AEM Cloud service. Our's is an asset implementation only with no sites. Currently we are looking for ways to migrate users and groups from AEM MS instance to AEMaaCS environment.

I was going over this documentation : https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/migration-journe...

which advices to use Content Transfer Tool(CTT) in order to migrate users and groups.

And, I know for fact that the recommendation is to use CTT for all migration but because of some technical challenges we are not  using CTT for asset migrations. Instead we have a custom solution.

With CTT out of the picture, are there other ways for migrating users and groups to AEMaaCS environment.

Any assistance/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ved

Hi Mukesh,

Sorry about late response.

I read steps mentioned here : https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-cloud-kcs/kbarticles/ka-16448

and I believe it wont work because :

1) The source system is AEM Managed server instance and we do not have access to crx/de interface. (Yes we may ask CSE to perform the steps)

2) Also, packaging users and groups via package manager will be a blocker cause of access

issues.

Ved
