Metadata properties are automatically populated during asset upload.

Hi,

We are facing a issue in our aem where the metadata properties are automatically populated during asset upload for specific assets. When the same asset is upload in different env same properties are added without considering it as new asset. Metadata profile is not set for the property and there's no custom workflow that handles the auto population of metadata property. What could be the possible reason?

It could be the Asset Microservice which extracting metadata from file and processing those. It is similar to DAM Update Asset workflow in AEM 6.5

This is happening for few assets.

@KeerthanaHN - AEM auto-extracts metadata embedded in asset binaries via the OOTB DAM Update Asset workflow (6.5) or Asset Microservices in Cloud. Since this metadata comes from the file itself, the same properties appear across environments regardless of profiles or custom workflows. It’s also worth checking folder-level metadata inheritance.
