index external assets in OOTB AEM lucene indexer

Is there any way to index external assets in OOTB AEM lucene indexer ..?

The AEM Lucene indexes only cover nodes which are in the repository. Indexing of "things" which are not in the repository is not possible.

If you want to do that, I would recommend to use an external search engine; or store the asset metadata in the repository and include a reference to the externally stored asset.
