GraphQL for arbitrary assets?

Avatar

Level 2

Hi all,

according to the AEM GraphQL documentation, GraphQL only serves content fragments right now. Are there any plans to extend this to arbitrary assets (images, videos, documents, blobs, etc.) in the future?

I think there might be quite some business use-cases to make the query/filter abilities of the AEM GraphQL engine also available to all the other types of assets, right? Are there alternative libs out there to cover this requirements?

Thank you and best regards

Adobe support might be a better position to answer the GraphQL related question.

AEM has an Asset Selector/Picker which lets you browse, search, and filter assets in Adobe Experience Manager Assets. It comes with a UI. Maybe you can explore, if the similar API calls will help your use case
