Email Notification to external emails OOTB not working : AEM 6.1

Hi All,

I am trying to use the OOTB email notification functionality in AEM 6.1. after selecting the options from notification inbox as per the screenshot.

1. Currently our aim is to trigger off mails to the reviewer who are a part of a workflow i.e along with the AEM Inbox, they should get notifications on their emails that are configured in their user profiles.

2. We are able to get the notifications on our inbox and also when implemented the ACS commons functionality for email API.

3. SMTP server details are set up all ready and we are able to trigger mail through it when checked

4. But, OOTB notification for external emails are not working.

Please suggest.

Are you able to get notifications to 'Inbox' OOB ??
