DAM is converting pngs to JPGs and back to PNGs, increasing file size by 3x

@jearnest is this happening for all PNGs? any specific folder path or everywhere? What is the AEM version you are using?

Every image. We'll optimize an image down to 500kB, upload it, and then it'll re-render to 1.6MB.

@jearnest , Are you using any custom workflow or custom step in existing workflow ?.

I do not know. I think we may have a fix but ... the lack of a flood of comments about "this happened to me" makes me think that we likely have a custom something or other that is performing as expected but not as desired.
