DAM Assets to keep under authentication

Can we keeps some of the folders under DAM for the authentication in publish instance..? Is there any way for enabling the authentication to apply for the dam path in the publish instance alone.?

The original thread was for publish instance & touch ui does not affect here. Anyhow it does not matter weather classic or touch cug is applicable.
