cURL commands in AEM6.0

HI,

I have been using cURL commands in CQ5.6 to upload & download packages. Now I am trying to use them in AEM6 and download command doesnt work.

I have executed the below command

curl -u admin:adm!nn0wn http://localhost:4508/etc/packages/my_packages/xxxx.zip > xxxx.zip

and it just returns a 0 byte file. Is there any way to download packages through commands in AEM6.0

The command Use by you is correct.

Please make sure that Server port is correct or Path of Package mentioned in correct Or User name Password is correct. For your Reference, please find few commands :-

Package Management Commands:  

• List of all the packages in your AEM instance :- curl -u admin:admin http://localhost:4502/crx/packmgr/service.jsp?cmd=ls
• Build an existing package :- curl -u admin:admin -X POST http://localhost:4502/crx/packmgr/service/.json/etc/packages/my_packages/samplepackage.zip?cmd=build
• Delete an existing package :- curl -u admin:admin -X POST http://localhost:4502/crx/packmgr/service/.json/etc/packages/my_packages/samplepackage.zip?cmd=delet...
•  Install an existing package :- curl -u admin:admin -X POST http://localhost:4502/crx/packmgr/service/.json/etc/packages/my_packages/samplepackage.zip?cmd=insta...
• Download an existing package into filesystem :-curl -u admin:admin http://localhost:4502/etc/packages/my_packages/samplepackage.zip > <local filepath>
• Upload and don’t install an existing package from File system :- curl -u admin:admin -F file=@"C:\sample\samplepackage.zip" -F name="samplepackage" -F force=true -F install=false http://localhost:4502/crx/packmgr/service.jsp
• Upload and Install an existing package from File system:- curl -u admin:admin -F file=@"C:\sample\samplepackage.zip" -F name="samplepackage" -F force=true -F install=true http://localhost:4502/crx/packmgr/service.jsp

I have checked syntax..it is not throwing any error but still downloading a 0 byte file

Hi Nanda,

Verify the company proxy Or firewall settings. in case there is ELB make sure it is not timing out.
