Core Image Component: Image not displayed

There is only one image that is not being displayed properly on the site (url string of image below) - when I change one part of the url string, where it says "10240" near the end to "2048" which all the other images on the website have (and display properly), then the image displays fine (see second url below). Please advise.

@HollieRi1 you are basically loading 2 different renditions of the asset.

and looks like there is no valid rendition available for this asset - 10240.png.

I think the correct renditions would be 1024 (not 10240) and of course the one that is working - 2048.

check the available rendition names and accordingly load the correct one.

Thanks! Do you know how I can go about finding the rendition names and loading the correct one? See image below of where I am at in the system:

@HollieRi1  Depending on whether CRXDE or developer console access, you can navigate to the actual path in the repository and see what all renditions exist for this image file.

you simply have to then match the image name with the rendition name and that should do it. under this asset node, you should see a renditions node and under that you should all the available rendition file names

You need then pick up the correct file name and update your url. In your case you just have to use 1024 in the file name instead of 10240.

Hi @HollieRi1

As you had mentioned that you are using the WCM Core Image component, the appropriate rendition selection is done internally by the component using Adaptive Image Servlet. Here is some documentation on how this works - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-core-components/using/developing/adaptive...

https://github.com/adobe/aem-core-wcm-components/wiki/The-Adaptive-Image-Servlet

Can you try removing and re-adding the image on the component if that helps.

Hi @kautuk_sahni we tried your suggestion of removing and re-adding the image on the component, and no such luck. One thing to note is that the image loads for users that are on the company's network. It does NOT load for anyone that is not on the company's network. Not sure if that provides more insight into why it's not loading, but please let me know of any further direction you can provide. Thank you.

@HollieRi1 @HollieRi2 , Can you please check the status of the request to this image in the network tab?

Is there any dispatcher setting blocking the access from a specific DAM folder?

Hi @kautuk_sahni another update:
- If I open the sidebar in Safari or Chrome, the image appears

- If I open a new tab in Firefox and then go back to that tab, the image appears

- If I resize browser in Chrome, the image appears.

This seems to be a fluke on the AEM side. Any more investigation you can do on your end?

Thanks,

Hollie
