Content Fragment gives null for empty field post SP17

Hi, 

We have recently upgraded to Service Pack 17 from 7, we started getting null pointer exception from code whenever optional field from content fragment is returning null. Before upgrade we didn't get since empty fields are coming as empty which we have handled in code.

Any suggestions how we can fix it rather than going to every application content fragment and check for validation.

Hi @cronind ,

Resolution that we discussed above has been applied already as part of Adobe during upgrading. 
Post that also we got this null pointer issue in CF referencing, we fixed by adding checks and changing code logic.
We didn't get such issues after that.
