Component Layout Resizing not working

Facing issue with the layout resizing for the components. When using the Drag-and drop functionality i.e. using the blue dots to define the position of the component in the responsive grid, the component is being dragged as well and the changes are not being saved. Not able to see the save tick button after the resize as well. 

Once the page is refreshed, the changes disappear. This is being a big blocker and this is happening only in the 6.5.11 instance which we have created. 

Any help in finding the root cause for the same would be great.
