Authentication mechanism in AEM

Is this possible to have different nodes in repository have different authentication mechanism 

en/us - uses LDAP 

en/fr - uses custom auth module . 

Please provide details

Typically best practice is to configure AEM to use 1. For example - you can use LDAP. See this AEM 6 article as an example of how to configure AEM to use LDAP:
