Assets published to Scene7 migration

Hello everyone. We are making migration for some part of content from one AEM to another (6.5.2 and 6.5.3). As part of content migration a lot of assets should be transferred as well and they are already uploaded and some published to Scene7. Just content packages are not an option - content size too big.

So the question - what is the best way to perform such a migration? I see at least a few options:

1) moving nodes from one AEM repository to another one (via Vault Remote Copy or Grabbit) - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-64/assets/administer/assets-migration-gui...

2) using some tool from Dynamic Media which is able to back sync assets from Scene7 to AEM (they will just appear in AEM Assets and repository) - https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/adobe-experience-manager/aem-6-4-6-5-how-to-pull-as...

3) assets will automatically appear in AEM repository and Assets in case of correct Cloud Service configuration - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-65/administering/integration/scene7.html. This point is not clear, not sure if it possible at all.

Any suggestions or thoughts will be appreciated.

Hi Oleksii,

Welcome to Adobe AEM Community.

In regards to your migration query, on that new AEM Author (6.5.3), will you be creating a Scene 7 or Dynamic Media configuration?

If yes, will it a different Scene 7 account?

As those assets already uploaded on Scene 7, so you may go with moving nodes from one AEM repository to another option.

Thanks,

Hi Vikram! Yes, Scene7 planned to be used in new environment, it will be the same Scene7 account with already uploaded assets. So what is preferable way for nodes migration? There are a lot of nodes.

Hi Oleksii, I was referring to migrating AEM Assets when I mentioned nodes, you may use any Tool (ACS AEM Tools CSV Asset Importer or Grabbit) or a manual movement can be tried.
