I have taken over someone else's work and they have a curl command that is supposed to perform some sharpening and enhancement of an image and create a new image. When the command executes in the DAM, the error log shows a exception about an invalid image anchor. the command is as follows:
http://localhost:4502/is/image/content/dam/projects/W_20150909_01/H_1563M-R_1_NoTxt.jpg?wid=500&hei=... -o /tmp/content/dam/projects/W_20150909_01/H_1563M-R_1_1563M-R_Extra1U_SmallU.jpg
The resulting file is actually the text "Unable to find image file."
It looks to me like the local AEM doesn't support the /is/image portion. Is there something analogous in AEM?

just a small questions, did this command ever worked successfully ?
in AEM DAM url starts with http//[host]:[port]/content/dam, did you tried without using " /is/image" as in aem we dont have this

It finds the image but doesn't process it if I strip the /is/image portion out. I just get the raw image back.
I do have dynamic media enabled. I'm not sure if it every worked. The original developer seems to feel that it did.
FWIW, they are on AEM version 6.1

I didn't realize I needed a publish and dynamic media instance running. I've gotten the publish instance up so it partially works. Now I need the client to open the firewall for me to get to the dynamic media instance.
