Hi all,
When we create a cloud configuration in AEM to connect with Adobe Analytics, we map AEM variables with those of Adobe Analytics.
Is this enough to send AEM data to Adobe Analytics?
Why do we include JS Beacons on AEM pages then?
Is there a relation between mapping AEM variables with those of Adobe Analytics in cloud configuration and including JS Beacons on AEM pages?
Appreciate your responses.
Thanks,
Rama.

Hi Rama
I would recommend you to configure Adobe analytics with AEM Via DTM.
Direct configuration is there but it is old way and not the best way.
For AEM integration with Analytics via DTM, please have a look at this helpx article :- https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/integrate-digital-marketing-solutions.html
Documentation :- https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/administer/integration/marketing-cloud/dtm.html

Hi Kautuk,
I am aware of DTM option.
In case I do not choose to use it, what is the relation between mapping variables of AEM and Analytics Vs including JS on the pages?
Is it like, out of box variables and functionality is provided by mapping and if this does not suffice the requirement, we go for JS option?
Thanks,
Rama.
