Should a OOTB generic install of AEM create sub-assets on PDF's?
I installed AEM 6.4 and SP2 on a local windows 10 machine. So far, everything appears to function but I am not getting the sub-assets or view page option on PDF's? The DAM Update Asset workflow is OOTB and there are steps for Page extraction and PDF Rasterize that complete without failure.
For what it is worth, in our hosted AMS environments, the same PDF renders and able to view pages.

In AEM 6.4 the "Create Sub Asset" workflow step has been removed from the DAM Update Asset workflow, because it's often unwanted and just casues a lot of load and disk consumption.
But the step is still there, you just need to add it your own version of the DAM Update Asset workflow model.

Thank you, I am a bit embarrassed that I didn't check the workflow steps. But, it worked.
