I have created a custom workflow step that I want to later programmatically advance using a custom scheduler so I have unchecked the "Handler Advance" option on the workflow step. The issue I see is that the step after processing is not showing in workflow/instances/server0/[date]/[workflow]/workItems so I'm not able to find it as an "Active WorkItem" later in the scheduler process. Should this workitem be created automatically or do i need to create the workItem nodes manually as part of my custom step? If i check "Handler Advance" then the workItem appears in the history folder so it is created at some point.
