Accessing secured DAM assets using Angular Js

I have a requirement where we have to access secured document in AEM repository from Angular js.

Rather going by ACL approach (we have to avoid maintaining users in AEM) we have to access secured documents those are stored in DAM based upon logged in user who will be authenticated against IDP.

Kindly let me know if there is any better way to handle this scenario.

Is there any way if we can access DAM assets from Angular JS.
