Request for Feature Enhancement (RFE) Summary: AEM 6.5 Assets, Metadata Schema Editor has only Single Line Text which outputs input element however there is no Multi Line Text type which would have put textarea element so it's very hard to read description like fields. Old UI has textarea fields but touch ui doesn't
Use-case: dc:description can have long text and the existing Single Line Text is very small
Current/Experienced Behavior: dc:description can have long text and the existing Single Line Text is very small
Improved/Expected Behavior: Bind dc:description to a new field like Multi Line Text
Environment Details (AEM version/service pack, any other specifics if applicable): AEM 6.5 SP7
Customer-name/Organization name: General Motors

Code package (if applicable):

Hi @rifatu53334250

Ref: Multi Line Text type in Asset Metadata Schema Editor.

This is what I see in the Asset Metadata Schema Editor. Please clarify if you are referring to something different.

Thank you for your response, the one you're showing is Multi Value Text which is different, that allows the user to add string[], one string at a time. Multi Line Text is basically a textarea, single text but it's for long text to make it more usable.

Screenshot below is from normal UI (non touch UI)

It is possible to add any type of granite resources in the metadata schema as well for Touch UI.

e.g. dropdown, RTE, etc.

You are referring to classic UI, which I highly doubted would be extended.

Classic UI was just an example. In my opinion Multi Line Text should be OTB which would leverage  granite/ui/components/coral/foundation/form/textarea.
