How to buy AEM Forms at reasonable cost

Hello,

I am working for a small firm and we would like to create some simple pdf forms with a few adaptive fields (e.g for adding product numbers) , if possible.

I filled this contact form: Adobe Marketing Cloud | Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Vertrieb  and I did not get an answer. I called the Sales Hotline and People are telling me that they dont know About AEM forms or that only a "Server Version" of AEM is available which has a five figure cost.

I can not imagine that this is true and als on the Forum I found some indicators that other Options are available.

Can you please provide some more detailed information on this and/or share the relevant contact details?

I also found a Trail Version here: LiveCycle Blog: AEM Forms Designer Demoversion//AEM Forms Designer Trial Is this a legal version supported by Adobe and can I safely download it?

Thank you for your help

Joshua

Hi Joshua, In order take advantage of the adaptive form technology (assuming this is what you mean by "adaptive fields"), you would need a server license for AEM Forms (OSGi), or AEM Forms JEE. The tool formerly known as LiveCycle Designer is now referred to as Adobe AEM Forms Designer. It can still be used to design dynamic PDF Forms which are supported in Adobe Acrobat DC Pro, or Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. The server license for AEM Forms, which is inclusive of all the legacy LiveCycle server based services and also includes a host of new services, such as mobile forms, HTML Workspace for user interactive workflow participation, Adaptive Forms, and Interactive Communications to name a few. Adobe Experience Manager Sites is a separate license from Forms. You can find more detail on AEM and Forms here at [1].

At the bottom of the page, you can request a demo, and likely a trial by calling that number.

Hope that helps.

Hello kjaeggin,

thank you for your reply. I used the contact form twice and called the (german) number the page you linked to. But said I dont get an answer (for the support form) or I am told that the product will be very expensive with that Server license (>10.000€) by calling that number. And we will not be able to pay this just for creating relativly simple forms. And we dont want all the other (nice) features at the moment.

Do you know if this price range is correct and if any alternative is available?

What about this Trail: LiveCycle Blog: AEM Forms Designer Demoversion//AEM Forms Designer Trial Can I legaly use it?

Thank you

This is all enterprise software. This is not personal software. We in the community cannot comment on the price.

smacdonald2008, thank you for your answer. I can understand, that you can not tell definitive prices here. Do you have any other idea how I can get in contact with the sales team?

What about the trail Version I linked? Do you have experiance with that?
